Special Needs Information

Child Care

Child care will be available for children ages 1 – 5 in an apartment in Williard Residence Hall; specific room to be announced.  The room will be open and staffed during the times below if we have advance requests (deadline: May 15) to provide child care at those times. 

Child care hours

Sunday: 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm

Monday: 8:00 am - Noon, 1:30 – 5:30 pm, and 7:15 - 9:15 pm

Tuesday:  8:15 am – 12:15 pm

Snacks will be provided, but parents will be responsible for picking up their children at meal times and providing their meals.  Please bring any supplies your child will need.  Weather permitting, the children will be able to play outside.

Absolute deadline for requesting child care is May 15, 2008.  We cannot guarantee the availability of child care for late registrants.  Please indicate on the registration form that you need child care.  You will be contacted for further information.

Dietary

All meals will be served buffet style, with vegetarian, low carbohydrate and sugar-free options available.  If you have other dietary needs, please indicate them on the registration form, and we will make every attempt to accommodate them.

Mobility

All Annual Gathering activities and dorm rooms will be located in handicap-accessible buildings close to each other, but vans will be available for anyone needing transportation.  Please indicate on the registration form if you will need van transportation.

Personal Sound Amplification

Personal sound amplification devices will be available for all sessions in Seiberling Gymnasium.  Please let us know on the registration form if you would like us to reserve one for you. We will contact you with details about where and how to pick it up.

American Sign Language Interpreter

Please indicate on the registration form if you will need an American Sign Language interpreter, or send an email to pamb@ocucc.org with your request.  We will be happy to arrange for an interpreter if we have your request by May 15.
