Our Theme -  I Go to the Rock

Some of the things we will talk about:

o   Images of God as a rock, fortress, stronghold, refuge, etc.

o   Building on the Rock:  becoming living rocks

o   Rocks can be stumbling blocks

o   Receiving new names and new rocks

What is Lantern?

Those who have attended Lantern in the past continually talk of the great impact the event has had on them.  They talk of the difficulty they have explaining to others just what they have experienced.

“I have found in Lantern Fellowship so many of the things I have needed - faith renewed, courage strengthened, friendship deepened, peace attained.” said Mrs. Marion Ballou Fiske of Cleveland, former president of the Ohio Conference Board of Missions for the Congregational Christian Churches.

Though this was said many years ago, it is still very true today.

Lantern Fellowship is a time when women, with a general age span of 25 to 80 plus years, come together to enjoy good food, warm and friendly hospitality, and the peaceful, quiet beauty of wooded hills and trails where the spirit can find renewal. The beautiful spirit of fellowship is present the entire time!

We hope you will invite a friend or more to share in the wonderful experience of Fall Lantern.  Come and renew your strength, refresh your spirit, and wander aimlessly in the woods.  We know that when you leave for home you will be rested, inspired and renewed!
