Love the Pool Camp
Co-Directors Richard Beck (8+ yr. Dir.) is pastor of Grace UCC, Uniontown, Ohio. He and his wife Marlene are proud parents of three grown children. He enjoys singing camps songs, and even lullabies when helpful. A former competitive swimmer, lifeguard, and Water Safety Instructor, Dick still swims a half mile to over a mile 2 to 4 times most weeks. But to him, loving God is far more important than swimming. He’s excited that unless new jobs come up, most of the support and counseling staff from last year will be back this summer. We like each other but have hearts for our campers. Elli Kalas attended camp for the first time in 7th grade and has been back almost every year since (over 20 years). Elli is married, mother of two and working full time as a teacher of the visually impaired. This year her daughter is going to attend camp on her own for the first time! |
