2012 Camp Rally was a success!

Pilgrim Hills was snow covered and beautiful this past weekend.  Hikes, crafts, sledding, campfires and s’mores topped the list of fun things we did at our Camp Rally.  Campers greeted old friends, made new friendships, and filled out Summer Camp registration forms!  To everyone who came together in prayer, play and fellowship at the Rally this weekend: Thank you! We had a great time and hope you did, too! 

Summer Camp Catalogs have been mailed

Our 2012 Summer Camp Catalogs have hit the postal system.  Campers from previous years should be receiving them soon!  Check out all the fun options and make your plans. Campers may register online in late February, or you can use the hardcopy registration form available in the catalog and here.  Register by March 31 to receive your Deluxe Camp Pack with fun items you can use to let everyone know you’re coming to camp this summer!

Who is my Camp Champion?

A Camp Champion has been identified at most of our churches in the Ohio Conference. The role of a Camp Champion is to promote Outdoor Ministries in the local congregation - to keep local congregations up-to-date on Outdoor Ministries events, activities, and resources for promoting the 2012 Summer Camp Season.   Please coordinate with the Camp Champion at your church for more information.  Contact Michael Brooks at michaelb@ocucc.org if you do not have a Camp Champion or would like an Outdoor Ministries speaker to visit your church or youth group.

2012 Summer Camp News

~Rate Announcement – Simpler Structure

Outdoor Ministries is pleased to announce that our 2012 Summer Camp rates will hold steady with no increase from last year.  In the current economic times, we are pleased to offer a faith-filled, quality summer camp experience at the same rate as 2011. 

In addition, when you receive your Summer Camp 2012 catalog, you will notice that there is only one cost listed for each session.  Regardless of the date your registration is received, the registration rate will remain the same.  HOWEVER, all registrations received prior to March 31 will receive a fun “Camp Pack” of items that will add to your camp experience.  Keep watching for details.

Summer Camp 2012 catalogs were mailed in early January.  Many of your “old favorites” are scheduled, as well as some new events.  We anticipate that Online Registration will be available by mid-February.  Just go to www.ocucc.org and click on 2012 Summer Camp Online Registration to register your camper(s).

~Summer Camp instructions for Pre-Registered Campers

If you pre-registered for camp last summer, here’s what you need to know for 2012 registration:

• You must complete the registration process for camp this summer. 

• You do not need to send a deposit with your registration.

• The cost for your event is what is listed in the catalog.  You simply were offered a lower deposit amount by pre-registering last summer.

• Your pre-registration deposit is refundable until February 15, 2012.

• If you send in your registration before February 15, 2012, you are guaranteed a spot in the camp of your choice (Grandparent/ Grandchild campers are guaranteed a spot in either their first or second choice).
