Registration for camp

> Secure online registration

Register online (available Feb. 15), or use the PDF registration form available here to print, complete and mail with payment.

Registration will be open until 14 days before the first day of the event, or until the camp is full—whichever comes first—unless the event director advises otherwise.

If you cannot register online, please call 800-282-0740, Ext. 209 or 614-885-0722, Ext. 209 and request a paper registration form.   Or print one here.

**** Tips for easier online registration ****

PAYING A DEPOSIT ONLINE

The payment screen will default to the total registration amount.  If you are only paying the deposit, or any other portion of the registration fee, simply enter the amount you wish to pay.

REGISTERING MULTIPLE CHILDREN IN YOUR FAMILY OR REGISTERING YOUR CHILD FOR MORE THAN ONE CAMP — You can register multiple children in your family and/or multiple camps for one child while entering your parent information only once.

  • After you enter your parent information, enter the first registration.

  • Then click on "Add Another Camper" to begin registering another child.

  • To register a child for more than one camp, click on all desired camps during the same registration session.

  • When all registrations are done, make one payment for all campers and camps.

GRANDPARENTS — When registering your family members for grandparent or family camps, please complete a separate registration for each separate household.  If you and your grandchildren live in separate households, register yourself as a separate "camper family," different than your grandchildren’s “camper family.”

On your registration, watch for the field that will ask for the last names of your grandchildren and size of group attending so we can cross reference the family groups and assign lodging based on size and need.

> To Register by Mail

If you don’t wish to register online, we are still gladly accepting paper registration forms sent in the mail.  Print a registration form and make copies if needed.  You may also call (800-282-0740, Ext. 209 or 614-885-0722, Ext. 209) or email us and we will send one to you.

Send your completed form with deposit to Outdoor Ministries, Ohio Conference UCC, 6161 Busch Blvd, Suite 100, Columbus OH 43229.

  • We process registrations in the order received. We must receive your deposit and registration form to continue processing your registration.

  • We do not reserve spaces at camp before processing your registration.

  • Once we have received and processed your registration and deposit, each individual camper will receive a confirmation packet.

Payment for Camp

A minimum, non-refundable camp deposit of $75 is required for each camper at the time of registering.  The balance is to be paid in full two weeks before the start of camp.  We accept MasterCard, VISA and Discover.  If you pre-registered at the end of last year's camp, no deposit is required.  Simply register online and leave the payment amount blank, or mail your registration form with the pre-registration box checked.

NOTE:  The payment screen will default to the total registration amount.  If you are paying only the deposit, or any other portion of the registration fee, simply enter the amount you wish to pay.

We process registrations in the order received.  You will be notified if the camp you chose has filled to capacity.  Once your registration has been processed, you will receive a confirmation packet with three (3) forms:  Health, Agreement to Participate and Transportation ReleaseBring the forms with you on the first day of camp. You will need them to check in for camp.

Make checks payable to:  Ohio Conference UCC

Please write the camper’s name on the memo line of your check and send with registration form and campership application (if requested).

Columbus OH 43229-2547

Returned checks will incur a $20 service charge.

Early Registration Incentives

The registration rate for each camp will remain the same, regardless of the date registration is received.  Registrations received before March 31 will receive a "camp pack" containing several items that will make your camp experience more fun!

Family Discount
Three or more registrations from the same family/households each receive a 10% discount for the family. This applies to immediate family, not cousins coming to week-long camps. Although the discount will not be reflected on-screen when you register online, the appropriate adjustment will be made manually by our staff.

Campership Assistance

Many congregations provide assistance to their campers. If you need additional help, you may seek assistance from the Outdoor Ministries (ODM) Campership Fund. Applications are available from the ODM office.  The maximum amount available to each individual is 60% of the camp fee rate.

Campership Fund dollars are allocated on a funds-available basis and are available only because individuals and churches throughout the Ohio Conference have made generous gifts to the Campership Fund.  If you would like to make a gift to the Campership Fund, please send a check to the Ohio Conference UCC and indicate "Campership Fund" on the memo line.

Refund Policy

For you to receive a refund, we must receive notification of a cancellation at least 10 days before the beginning of the event unless there is a medical emergency or family crisis. The $75 deposit is non-refundable (the $50 pre-registration deposit is not refundable after February 15).  Once a camper is on site, no refund is available if the camper leaves early.

Camper Insurance

In the event of an accident requiring a doctor’s care or hospitalization, the camper or camper’s family is responsible for treatment cost. The Outdoor Ministries’ insurance covers treatment costs in excess of the camper's insurance up to $15,000 per claim. Treatment cost for illness is the responsibility of the camper or the camper’s family.

Our Mission and Goals

Mission

The Division for Outdoor Ministries of the Ohio Conference UCC is committed to the development and maintenance of places and programs for people to get away, live together, and explore the appropriate responses to God's call.

Goals

1. Get to know God.
2. Get to know self.
3. Get to know others:

a. become better friends
b. become a good community
c. solve problems without fighting.

4. Learn about, understand, and respect nature.
5. Camp should involve the local church.
6. Campers should learn to help take care of themselves, nature and others.
7. Camp should be fun and easy to understand.
8. At camp we should learn, work, worship, and have fun.

Realizing that the diversity of our community enriches our overall camp experience, the Ohio Conference seeks to involve a broad mix of people in the camps and event programs.

Registration in the camps and events of the Ohio Conference is open to all persons within the specified age range.

Age ranges are specified and enforced for the safety and mental/spiritual health of the campers.  We strive to be age appropriate.

The "grade" for our camps refers to the camper’s grade in school as of April 1, 2012.
